(Williston, ND) -- A state audit of the Williston Basin School District and its predecessors is underway.
The State Auditors Office has received a petition from Williston residents asking for the audit. Citizens say they are concerned because a preliminary audit found a discrepancy of about two-million dollars.
The petition had nearly a thousand signatures, nearly 300 more that were required. No timeline has been set for completing the audit.
