(Minneapolis, MN) -- The Twins wasted Pablo Lopez' best start of the season during a 2-0 loss to the Mets at Target Field.

Lopez struck out 14 and gave up just two hits over eight scoreless innings in a no-decision, but Griffin Jax gave up a two-run double in the top of the ninth to get charged with his ninth loss in relief. Willi Castro had two hits in the losing effort.

Cleveland also lost yesterday, so Minnesota still has a 7 1/2 game lead in the AL Central at 75-68.

The Twins send Sonny Gray to the mound against the Tampa Bay Rays tonight.
