Coach Prime is on the road to recovery after successful surgery to fix blood clots in his left leg. Colorado head football coach Deion Sanders used social media to announce the successful surgery on Friday.

The Pro Football Hall of Famer also has a blood clot in his right leg that doctors will address in the future. Sanders has been dealing with significant blood flow issues and in 2021 had several surgeries, including the removal of two toes on his left foot.

The 55-year-old expects to be on the sideline for Colorado's season opener against TCU on September 2nd.
