(Bismarck, ND) -- Governor Doug Burgum has joined 21 other governors in urging the EPA to pause implementation of a new rule until the states' concerns are addressed.
The new rule tightens limits on fine particles in the air. In a letter to the EPA the governors said a one size fits all approach is wrong.
Governor Burgum says that approach burdens states like North Dakota where the air quality is often degraded by wildfire smoke from western states and Canada.
