Body discovered by anglers could be connected to missing Bismarck resident

(Emmons County, ND) -- A body discovery could be linked to a missing Bismarck area person, according to authorities. 

The Emmons County Sheriff's Office says the body was discovered by people who were fishing on the shore of Lake Oahe north of Beaver Bay on Sunday. Investigators believe the body was in the location for a long time, citing its condition when discovered. At this time, authorities believed the body could be connected to a missing person from the Bismarck area, but that has not been confirmed as of this publication. 

The body was taken to a medical examiners office for an autopsy. The case is still under investigation.
