(Bismarck, ND) -- A key North Dakota official believes state law will triumph over local law pertaining to the Summit Carbon Solutions pipeline.

North Dakota Public Service Comissioner Randy Christman made the statement during a session of the commission on Friday. While there was no official vote in support of the pipeline, other commission members agreed with Christman. If the board votes to approve a proposed draft order, it would allow Summit Carbon Solutions to bypass ordinances enacted in Emmons and Burleigh counties.
