President Biden issues disaster declaration for North Dakota communities hit by spring flooding

(Bismarck, ND)  --  A disaster declaration has been declared by President Biden to help North Dakota recover from spring flooding.  

Governor Burgum says snowfall this winter broke records in 58 communities across the state, leading to significant flooding and damage to streets and infrastructure.  

The presidential declaration approved Wednesday will make FEMA assistance and funding available in 21 counties to repair roads and other infrastructure.
