North Dakota House races have new focus with Tribal Nation Sub-districts

(Bismarck, ND) -- New district sub-districts that are providing tribal nations with more say are refocusing the upcoming elections.

Sub-districts are included in Districts Four and Nine, specifically to provide more of a voice for the Fort Berthed and Turtle Mountain Indian reservations.

The subject of sub-districts caused tension in the redistricting process that took place in the recent special session of the legislature.
