(Gwinner, ND) -- Current North Dakota District 26 State Representative Sebastian Ertelt (R) is running in the newly-redistricted District 28 in the upcoming election.

Ertelt calls himself one of the most conservative members of the North Dakota Legislature, and cites a score by the American Conservative Union - showing the representative carries an 86% lifetime rating. He is also recognized by the North Dakota Young Republicans for "outstanding commitment to conservative values." Ertelt has also been endorsed by the North Dakota Farm Bureau and North Dakota Right to Life in the 2020 election.

"Just like with my first race, I feel called to run", said Ertelt, "I’ve been deeply concerned as I’ve watched our nation, and some in our state, whether intentionally or by a lack of foresight, sprinting toward communism and tyrannical rule.”

A ND House member since 2017, Ertelt has served on the House Finance & Taxation and Political Subdivision Committees. He also served on the Interim Taxation and Government Finance Committees and currently serves on the Interim Judiciary and Information & Technology Committees. Ertelt is also a small business owner, working as an insurance agent in Sargent County.
