City of Williston employee retires after 35 years of service

(Williston, ND) -- A longtime City of Wiliston employee has retired. Robert "Bob" Hanson retired recently after 35 years of service to the city and the Public Works and Engineering Department for the City of Williston. He was recognized with a lunch open to close acquaintances and former City staff on Thursday. A public event will be held later this fall. City Administrator David Tuan says he hopes Williston citizens remember his contributions through public service, "and congratulate him on his retirement when they see him." Hanson had two stints with the City of Williston, the first beginning in 1986. He left to take the City Engineer position in Dickinson in 1997, before returning to the City of Williston in 2000.
