(Washington, D.C.) -- Congress is on a two-week recess as the clock is ticking to fund the government.

Lawmakers are not expected back on Capitol Hill until February 28th, two days before the March 1st deadline to fund some government agencies. The remaining agencies must be funded by March 8th.

The path forward remains unclear as the House has not made progress on any appropriations bills since November, and Speaker Johnson has promised not to pass another short-term funding bill.
