(Washington, DC) -- The State Department is approving a sale of F-16 munitions and other military equipment to Taiwan.

The deal is said to be worth over 600-million dollars.

The sale was made possible by the Taiwan Relations Act, with tensions between Washington D.C. and Beijing continuing to be high.

China has not responded yet to the move.
