(Washington, DC) -- Meetings with the NATO Secretary General and top U.S. officials are set to take place this week.
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken will meet with Jens Stoltenberg Wednesday and will also hold a joint press conference. Stoltenberg is scheduled to meet with Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan Thursday.
The meetings come after Finland and Sweden moved to join the alliance last month as Russia's invasion of neighboring Ukraine drags on.
