(Washington, DC) -- The Supreme Court is denying a request from Texas abortion providers to freeze a new law prohibiting abortions after six weeks of pregnancy.
The high court ruled five to four in the overnight decision. Chief Justice John Roberts joined the three liberal justices in the dissent.
The move means the law, which is one of the strictest in the U.S, will stay in place.
