Twins drop rubber match against Tigers

(Minneapolis, MN) -- The Twins offense is still anemic following a 6-1 loss to the Detroit Tigers at Target Field.

Minnesota gave up the first six runs of the contest and didn't get on the board until Austin Martin hit a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth. Louie Varland continued his slump by getting tagged with his fourth loss after surrendering four runs on three hits in 2 2/3 innings.

The 7-13 Twins send Chris Paddack to the mound on Monday night against the White Sox beginning at 6:40 p.m.
