Former University of North Dakota sophomore forward, Jackson Blake, is adding some more hardware to his mantle. He earned a spot on the AHCA/CCM All-America West First Team.
Blake is the 66th player from UND to earn All-America honors and the first since defenseman Jake Sanderson did so in the 2021-22 season. He joins his father, Jason, as the first father-son duo to earn the honor from the University of North Dakota.
The Eden Prairie, Minn., native broke the NCHC single-season scoring record, recording 37 points in 24 games during conference play. Blake tallied 60 total points on 22 goals and 38 assists during the 2023-24 season. Additionally, he earned a spot on the All-NCHC First Team, was named the NCHC's Forward of the Year, and NCHC Player of the Year.
In 79 career games, Blake scored 38 goals and tallied 64 assists for 102 points. He is only the second UND sophomore in the past 30 years to join the 100-point club (Zach Parise 2003-04).
Since the conclusion of North Dakota's 2023-24 season, Blake has signed his three-year, entry-level contract with the Carolina Hurricanes.
