Timberwolves collapse in fourth quarter, drop pivotal playoff seeding game to Nuggets

(Denver, CO) -- The Minnesota Timberwolves dropped out of the top spot in the Western Conference following a 116-107 loss to the Denver Nuggets at Ball Arena.

The game was close until the fourth quarter, when the Nuggets led by as many as 16 points. Anthony Edwards had 25 points in the losing effort, while Mike Conley finished with 19. Rudy Gobert chipped in 13 points and 15 rebounds. The Wolves are tied with Oklahoma City for the second seed in the West at 55-25.

Minnesota will host Atlanta on Friday night.
