On Monday, league officials announced UND freshman Jake Livanavage as the NCHC’s Defenseman of the Week. This is his second weekly honor of the season, adding to his NCHC Rookie of the Week honor in November.

Livanavage led a North Dakota blue line that held Denver, the nation's top scoring team (5.25 goals per game), to only four goals in two games. He also tallied three assists on the weekend, including assisting on the game-winning goal both nights. He now has 17 total points on two goals and 15 assists in 26 games this season.

No. 2 North Dakota will visit Miami (OH) for a weekend series beginning on Friday night.
