Josh Dobbs impressive again as Vikings beat the Saints

(Minneapolis, MN) -- The Minnesota Vikings currently own the longest winning streak in the NFL at five as the Vikings beat the Saints 27-19.

The Vikings own the NFL's longest winning streak due to the coaching of Kevin O'Connell and the excellent quarterback play of recently acquired Josh Dobbs. Dobbs and the offense had their best half of the season against a formidable Saints defense that is top 10 in points allowed this season. Dobbs led the Vikings offense to scores on four of five drives in the first half in which he ran for one touchdown and threw for another to TJ Hockenson to give the Vikes a comfortable 24-3 lead at halftime. The Saints made a furious comeback after halftime, outscoring Minnesota 16-3 behind backup Jameis Winston who came in for an injured Derek Carr. The Saints couldn't complete the comeback as they got both the good and bad of Jameis as he threw two touchdowns but also threw two costly interceptions that gave Minnesota its 5th consecutive win.

There is good news and bad news after this game as Justin Jefferson could return next week but head coach Kevin O' Connell made it clear that they will not rush Jefferson back until he is 100%. Linebacker Jordan Hicks will be inactive for the game as he was rushed to a local hospital after the game as he had developed Compartment syndrome in his shin, the injury is diagnosed when swelling and pressure in the bruised area reach dangerous levels.

The Vikings will head to Denver in week 11 to take on the Broncos on Sunday Night Football.
