(Detroit, MI) -- The Twins gave up 17 hits during a 9-5 loss to the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park.
Bailey Ober was charged with his sixth loss after giving up four earned runs and one unearned run on 11 hits in five innings of work. Carlos Correa and Joey Gallo both homered during the losing effort. The Twins are still 4 1/2 games up on the Guardians in the AL Central race at 60-56. Kenta Maeda starts for Minnesota against Detroit this afternoon.
In other team news, infielder Donovan Solano is day-to-day after spraining his MCL in Tuesday's loss against Detroit.
