(Minneapolis, MN) -- The Twins split their four-game series after shutting out the Red Sox 6-0 in their finale at Target Field.

Joe Ryan earned the win after striking out nine batters in a complete-game shutout. Ryan's complete game was Minnesota's first since 2018.

Byron Buxton went two-for-four with a pair of solo homers. His home runs traveled 466 and 465 feet, making him the first player in the Statcast era (Since 2015) to hit two 460+ foot home runs in the same game. Carlos Correa also went deep in the win for Minnesota, which is leading the AL Central at 38-38.

Justin Garza was charged with the loss after allowing three runs over one inning pitched. Boston batters were limited to just three hits. The Sox are now last in the AL East at 39-37.

The Twins will now head to Detroit for a weekend series with the Tigers beginning on Friday night with first pitch set for 5:40 p.m. Kenta Maeda will make his return to the mound for Minnesota.
