(Birmingham, AL) -- The San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals are meeting in the next iteration of the Field of Dreams game.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports the game is expected to be played in 2024 at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama. Rickwood Field is the oldest professional ballpark in America and was home to Willie Mays' Birmingham Black Barons. Major League Baseball is not holding a Field of Dreams game this season as the site in Dyersville, Iowa is currently under construction.
The Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds played in the game in 2022.
