Minnesota State University Moorhead senior guard Gavin Baumgartner and sophomore guard Jacob Beeninga have been named to the All-NSIC First Team. Fellow senior guard Lorenzo McGhee found himself named to the All-NSIC Second Team.

Baumgartner has averaged 13.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game so far this season. He has also shot 44.4 percent from the field and knocked down 39.2 percent of his three-point attempts. This marks the third time Baumgartner has landed on an All-NSIC Team, earning a spot on the first team in 2019-20 and to the second team in 2021-22.

Beeninga averages a team-high 17.3 points per game while also adding 4.1 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per contest. He is shooting 41.1 percent overall from the floor and 37.2 percent from three-point range. This is Beeninga’s first all-conference honor in his career.

McGhee is averaging 15.5 points and 5.1 rebound per game this season. He has been an efficient shot connecting on 47.5 percent of his shots from the field. Since transferring to MSUM, McGhee has made an all-conference team in each of his three seasons. He had been named to the All-NSIC First Team each of the past two seasons, along with being the NSIC’s Newcomer of the Year in 2020-21.
