Twins bullpen fails in loss to Dodgers

(Minneapolis, MN) -- Jay Jackson surrendered a pair of solo shots in the top of the seventh as the Minnesota Twins lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-2 at Target Field.

The game was tied at two heading into the inning before James Outman and Shohei Ohtani both took the Twins reliever deep. Jackson was charged with the loss out of the pen, while Manuel Margot hit a two-run homer in the losing effort. The 3-5 Twins send Louie Varland to the mound against Los Angeles on Tuesday night.

In other club news, the Twins placed reliever Daniel Duarte on the injured list yesterday and recalled infielder Jose Miranda from St. Paul.
