(Undated)  --  An asteroid the size of a football stadium has zoomed past Earth on Friday.

On Friday, astronomers tracked the path of an asteroid that's estimated to be about 890-feet wide. The asteroid, named OS7, was within one-point-seven-million miles of our planet. This was the first time OS7 passed by Earth since 2016, and the next time it comes back our way in 2032, it will be about 45-million miles away.

The Virtual Telescope Project live streamed the event on YouTube, so those who are wanting to catch a glimpse of the mammoth asteroid can view the video.
