(Fargo, ND) -- Extreme winter weather is having an effect on oil production in North Dakota. The Department of Mineral Resources reports that December production fell 13-percent. Production dropped below a million barrels per day during December for the first time since last April. Officials had predicted a tough December because of storms and frigid temperatures.
