(Cupertino, CA) -- Apple is raising the price of iPhone battery replacements.
The company announced beginning March 1st, Apple will charge 89 dollars for batteries for the iPhone X through iPhone 13 models, a 20 dollar increase from the current price.
Battery replacements for the iPhone SE, iPhone eight, and several iPad models are also increasing by 20 bucks.
The change comes just a few years after it was discovered Apple purposefully slowed the performance of older devices and the company drastically lowered the cost of battery replacements.
