(Cupertino, CA) -- Add "first-generation iPhones" to the list of collectibles that can bring in big money.

An iPhone that was still sealed in its original box went for more than 63-thousand-dollars at auction over the weekend.

The original owner of the phone said she received it as a gift, but never opened it since she had already gotten a new phone.

Other first-generation iPhones have been reportedly sold at auction for more than 35-thousand-dollars.

The eight-gigabyte phone was originally listed for less than six-hundred-dollars when it was introduced in 2007.
