(Bismarck, ND) -- A construction flagger is hospitalized following yesterday's pedestrian crash outside of Bismarck.

North Dakota Highway Patrol troopers say it happened along Highway 14 near the town of Wing when an elderly motorist behind the wheel of an SUV passed a tractor-trailer and rear-ended another vehicle.

The impact reportedly pushed the other vehicle into a construction flagger, who was pushed into a ditch.  Officials say the 71-year-old flagger was hospitalized with serious-but-non-life-threatening injuries.

No other injuries were reported and no charges have been announced.
