Vehicle crash in Sheldon leads to DUI arrest

(Sheldon, ND)-- A single vehicle rollover-crash Thursday in Sheldon, North Dakota has led to a DUI arrest. Jesse James Schultz was driving northbound on Ransom County Highway 54 when he drifted off the roadway and into the ditch. He attempted to correct and as a result rolling the vehicle several times. Schultz was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle during the roll-over. Schultz laid injured in the ditch for approximately three hours until a passerby found the  vehicle. Schultz was transported by Lisbon Ambulance to Essentia Health in Fargo. Schultz  sustained serious injuries from the crash and cold exposure. He remains in unstable condition.  Schultz was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol by the NDHP. 

The crash remains under investigation by the NDHP.
