(Bismarck, ND) -- North Dakota's state forensic examiner has been fired amid allegations of making violent threats toward co-workers.

Dr. Barrie Miller allegedly made "homicidal comments" last week upon learning of her imminent termination. Co-workers reported previous instances where Miller talked about running over employees in the parking lot and hinted at committing a murder-suicide.

Miller, who served as the state medical examiner since 2020, was terminated without further incident.
