Governor Burgum asking legislators for more money for legal fight with federal government

(Bismarck, ND) --  Governor Burgum is asking legislators for more money to fight federal environmental regulations he says are hurting North Dakota.

Lawmakers put aside 15-million dollars for litigation last year, but the governor says they'll need more next year to hire private lawyers who have more experience fighting federal regulations.

The governor is considering requesting money from the emergency commission if the money is needed before the legislature convenes next year.
