North Dakota postal audit reveals multiple issues

(Bismarck, ND) --  An audit by the U.S. Postal Service revealed delayed mail and other issues at post offices in Bismarck, Mandan, and Minot.

The audit comes after members of North Dakota's congressional delegation pressed the inspector general to include North Dakota cities in its audit of the Minnesota-North Dakota District.

The auditors recommended improvements including properly allocating resources at the Bismarck processing center, making sure mail flow procedures are followed, making sure supervisors there are trained, filling a key supervisor vacancy, and training employees on trip classifications.
