(Grand Forks, ND)  --  The study of Indigenous humanities is getting a budget boost.

The Mellon Foundation has awarded the University of North Dakota and the North Dakota Tribal College System one-million-dollars to be used over the next three years to train faculty, students and staff in several areas including archival skills, cultural resource management and Indigenous digital humanities.

Officials with the Tribal College System say combining their history with technology will preserve their stories for future generations.
