Armstrong on new House Speaker Mike Johnson: he has an opportunity "to do really well"

(Fargo, ND) -- North Dakota Congressman Kelly Armstrong is reacting favorably after fellow republican Representative Mike Johnson was elected as the new house speaker.

"I have never heard Mike say a bad thing about any other republican. To be quite honest I've never really heard him say a bad thing about a democrat. He's very conservative. He's incredibly intelligent but he does it in a thoughtful and meaningful way and if people didn't get the opportunity to listen to his speech on the floor yesterday, I really recommend it. It doesn't matter if you are democrat or republican," said Armstrong.   

Armstrong says it's a "lofty goal" for Johnson to bring more decorum to the house, but also says the new speaker has a real opportunity to do "really well".
