Fargo Marathon Director dies in Detroit Lakes crash

(Detroit Lakes, MN) -- The director of the Fargo Marathon has been killed in a bicycle/pickup crash.

Authorities say the crash happened Sunday morning when a bicycle was hit by a pickup truck pulling a boat in Detroit Lakes in the 1100 block of South Shore Drive.

The bicycle's rider, 53-year-old Mark Knutson, was flown to a Sanford Hospital in Fargo, where he later died from his injuries. Charges have not been filed against the driver, 42-year-old Jacob Grabowski of Fargo, but an investigation into the crash continues.

Knutson was the director of the Fargo Marathon.
