North Dakota Vision Zero: 1,074 citations issued during Click it or Ticket enforcement campaign

(Bismarck, ND) -- North Dakota's Vision Zero is sharing updated numbers during their Click it or Ticket campaign.

Between May 22nd and June 4th, a total of 1,074 citations were issued on overtime patrols. Of those; about 440 were for failing to wear a seatbelt and 363 were for speeding. Other traffic violations include 39 uninsured motorists, 30 suspended or revoked license violations, two drug arrests, six citations for distracted driving, eight warrants served, three driving under the influence citations, and 110 other traffic citations.

The Click It or Ticket Campaign enforces seat belt use if you are stopped for another reason and not wearing one. Starting on August 1st, law enforcement can stop vehicles only for not wearing a seatbelt in North Dakota.
