(Fargo, ND) -- North Dakota is apparently lagging a little behind when it comes to being a 'green state'.
Personal Finance website WalletHub ranks the Peace Garden State ninth in its latest study involving least environmentally-friendly states across the U.S. The reports takes into account 25 key metrics, including everything from current health of the environment to residents' environmental friendliness.
Some key categories where North Dakota finished include:
- 36th – Soil Quality
- 31st – LEED-Certified Buildings per Capita
- 47th – Energy Consumption per Capita
- 46th – Gasoline Consumption (in Gallons) per Capita
- 48th – Carbon-Dioxide Emissions per Capita
On the flip side, Minnesota came in as the eighth most 'green' state in the study.
