Hazardous Materials Response Team and several other first responders at active incident in New Town

(New Town, ND) -- Several agencies in Western North Dakota are responding to an active fire incident near New Town that started around 1:00 p.m today.

Authorities from the Williston Fire Department say a well pad fire with multiple storage tanks on site is currently ongoing.  Williams County Emergency Management will also be on scene, with authorities from the Hazardous Materials Response Team expected to respond to test for air quality concerns.

This is an active event in Williams county. People are asked to stay away from the scene at this time.
