(Bismarck, ND) -- North Dakota GOP officials say the party will not be changing its endorsement process.
The state Republican Party announced Thursday that it will not be considering a move by a "rogue ad hoc group" to change the process at the party's convention this weekend.
Chairman Perrie Schafer sent a letter to delegates saying an attempt by the Ad Hoc NDGOP 2022 Convention Rules Committee to change the convention's existing endorsement rules "will be ruled out of order."
The issue highlights a rift between the state GOP and a far-right faction fighting for control of the party.
