Minneapolis, MN --  The defense rests for the Minnesota police officer charged with killing a Black man during a traffic stop.  Kim Potter claims she meant to use her taser on Daunte Wright during a traffic stop earlier this year, but accidentally grabbed her gun and shot him instead when he resisted arrest.  On the stand, the prosecution had a crying Potter admit she did not render aid to Wright or check on the other officers after the shooting.  Earlier while testifying for the defense, Potter said "things went chaotic" and she became emotional when describing cops looking fearful when Wright tried to drive away with officers grabbing onto him.  Potter said she shouted "Taser, taser, taser," then realized she shot him.

The first-degree manslaughter and second-degree manslaughter charges carry a maximum sentence of 15 years and ten years, respectively.
