SD State Senate Ready for Ravnsborg Impeachment, House to Vote

(Pierre, SD) -- The South Dakota state Senate is ready to move forward with impeachment proceedings against Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg.

Leaders confirm that the needed amount of signatures has been obtained to go ahead with hearings. To continue with the process, two-thirds of the state House must agree to the effort.

Speaker of the House Spencer Gosch says the names of those who sign on to the impeachment process will not be released because it is considered correspondence between legislators rather than an official action.
