(WDAY Radio)  --  Israel has fired two military officers for their role in the destruction of an aid convoy in Gaza this week.

The strike, which killed seven workers with the DC-based food charity World Central Kitchen, drew international outrage. Israel says a probe into the attack found that commanders misidentified the vehicles and assumed they were Hamas terrorists. This, a day after President Biden expressed his own outrage in a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, calling for immediate action to protect civilians and aid workers in the war-ravaged Gaza Strip.

Three other officers were reprimanded.
