(Greenville, SC)  --  GOP presidential hopeful and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley says the primary in her home state is not "do or die."

Speaking on NBC's Meet the Press, Haley acknowledged that she needs to do better than she did in the New Hampshire primary, but can still make a strong showing without actually winning the state.  She said her goal is to keep her momentum and continue to gain on former President Trump.  Haley downplayed current South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster's endorsement of Trump, noting that she beat McMaster when she ran for governor.

The 2024 South Carolina Republican presidential primary will be held on February 24, 2024.
