(Washington, D.C) -- Congress is facing a hefty to-do list in the final legislative week of the year.

The Senate is scrambling to strike a deal on more funding for Ukraine in its war with Russia. Republicans are demanding significant border policy changes in exchange for their votes to send aid to Kyiv. Ukrainian President Zelensky will attend an all-senators meeting on Capitol Hill Tuesday morning, as the White House warns failing to pass new funding before the year's over could tip the war in Russia's favor.

Meanwhile, the House is expected to vote to formally authorize the impeachment inquiry into President Biden. Republicans argue the vote is necessary to put more legal weight behind the investigation.
