White House continues push for Congress to pass Ukraine aid

(Washington, DC)  --  Congress needs to act to ensure there's no disruption in U.S. aid for Ukraine.

That's what National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters today after funding for Ukraine was left out of the short-term government funding bill.

He said any lapse in support could make all the difference on the battlefield as Ukraine's war with Russia drags on.

Kirby added that President Biden expects House Speaker Kevin McCarthy to move a Ukraine aid bill through the chamber.
