(New York, NY) -- Congressional members from New York and New Jersey and 9-11 first responders gathered Tuesday to announce a bill that will add funding to the World Trade Center Health Program.

The program helps first responders and others who have gotten sick from toxins connected to the September 11th terror attacks.

Some say the program is facing a two billion dollar shortfall because of the high number of participants.

The bill will also allow previously excluded Pentagon and Shanksville, Pennsylvania responders to join the program.
