(Berlin) -- McDonalds is introducing new plant-based nuggets to consumers in Germany.

On Wednesday, the fast-food chain announced McPlant Nuggets will be available to German customers beginning February 22nd, as will plant-based cheeseburgers.

McDonald's worked with the company Beyond Meat to create plant patties back in 2021, which have already been permanently added to menus in the UK, Ireland, Austria, and the Netherlands.

So far, there's no word on if the plant-based products will be brought to the U.S.

Meanwhile, rival chain Chick-Fil-A is starting to test a cauliflower version of its famous chicken sandwich.
