(Phoenix, AZ) -- Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs says it's "absolutely" fair to blame the federal government for the border crisis.

Appearing on Fox News Sunday, the first-term Democrat said the issue has been "kicked down the road for decades by both parties in Washington."

Hobbs went on to say that solving the border crisis would bolster the national economy and help bring down inflation.

On the local level, Hobbs defended taking a "more humane" approach to the migrant surge at the southern border. Her administration is continuing a GOP-initiated program of busing migrants out of the state.
