Officials order indefinite curfew for Ohio city following Jayland Walker shooting

(Akron, OH) -- Authorities in Akron, Ohio have ordered an indefinite overnight curfew with tensions high after last week's police shooting of Jayland Walker and police body camera video released over the weekend.

The curfew covers the downtown area and is in force every night from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. It will allow exceptions for people traveling directly to and from work, those seeking medical care, and people fleeing dangerous circumstances.

Violators face the possibility of fines or jail time.
